What are essential oils?
Extracted from plants, essential oils are the volatile oils most commonly distilled from the leaves, flowers, bark, rind or roots of the plant. Each essential oil has a unique profile of chemical compounds which gives these ethereal oils their individual therapeutic benefits & fragrance.
Benefits of essential oils
The benefits of essential oils have been known for many thousands of years. Our ancestors would use eucalyptus & lavender essential oils for colds, ginger essential oil for nausea and many use a blend of lavender & peppermint essential oils for migraines.
How to use essential oils
Inhalation is the easiest way to use your essential oils to obtain emotional and respiratory benefits. Add a few drops to a cool mist diffuser and take slow, deep breaths. To use essential oils for physical support, dilute your essential oils with a carrier oil and massage directly onto the area you wish to treat.
